Founded in 2016, snoww is a wearable ski technology company that transforms the way people track their skiing. snoww's first product, their iPhone app, launched in October 2016 and has experienced a ... hugely successful debut season, with people tracking their ski and snowboard activity in 47 different countries, ranging from the Andes in Chile to the wee mountains of Scotland. The app uses your iPhone's GPS to map out where you've skied, offering a run-by-run breakdown of distance, vertical descent, and maximum speed. Users can upload photos and videos of their day and tag their gear. Ski and snowboard activities will appear on an Instagram-like feed to be shared with your followers. Users can challenge and compete on the app's leaderboard, unlock trophies for achieving milestones such as skiing the distance of a marathon in one day, or skiing in both hemispheres.
