PRUFREX manufactures digital ignition systems and electronic control units (ECUs). Prufrex products are used mainly for smaller combustion engines in gardening and construction tools and recreational vehicles. Alongside these core applications, we also cater to a growing range of automotive, marine and industry applications, for instance, for auxiliary heating, outboard engines, and oil and gas heating systems. We are currently branching out into products for non-combustion engines, and looking at devices such as ignition spark generators for fuel cells used for environmentally-friendly, noiseless power generation in houseboats and trailers. PRUFREX manufactures around four million ignitions and ECUs annually. More than 1,000 exclusive product developments, some 30 custom development projects per year, and numerous patents attest to our remarkable skill set. Exports accounted for 60 percent of the revenue.
