Music helps transform our moods and brings a sense of relief to our day-to-day lives.

To be honest there are very few professions in the world that are as polarized as the profession of a salesperson.

Due to this fact, salespeople are always on the edge of exhaustion and burnout. In times of high stress, one of the best stressbusters is music.

If Darth Vader had access to music, the Death Star might still exist; who knows! 😋

Sales is tough. Period. 

Every new quarter brings with it a new set of challenges. 

With emails, presentation decks, Zoom meetings, motivating yourself and your teams, new goals for the new quarter, and the pressure to always be closing deals day in and day out needs a hell lot of strength.  

Research says that listening to high-tempo music helps one to stay alert and productive (Research is me; I am research 🙂). Introducing music to all the stress, challenges and a few repetitive tasks that tag along with the new quarter is a wonderful way to tackle it.

This one’s for all the curveballs, the straight balls, the cutters, the knuckleball, and for just about everything life as a sales professional can throw at ya!

One of my personal favorite songs to listen to when I need a little pick me up is Not Afraid, by Eminem.

#3 Give Me A Raise! Playlist

Conversations that revolve around asking for a raise can be nerve-wracking. Taboos surrounding money and salary continue to exist. In such times, learning how to flex our money asking muscles is something we all need to learn. 

A very renowned author, entrepreneur, and champion of women in tech, Alexis Maybank said, “When it comes to asking for a raise, you need to do it the right way. You may get a no, but that’s fine, but ask and make sure you know when you can come back and ask again.” 

Finding the right words and stating your request can be quite challenging. But if you are one of those people who believe that every situation in life should have a playlist, then this one’s for you. 

Here’s the “Give me a raise!” playlist for when you need a few beats and a little motivation when asking for a raise.

There are times when logging in to work starts to feel like we’re entering a battleground.

In any case, it never hurts to have a playlist at hand to vent some of the emotions you are feeling.

#5 The Time-off from Sales Calls Playlist

One of the things that salespeople cannot do without is sales calls. We all know that cold calling is an integral part of sales prospecting and no one can deny it. 

While days, where you have back-to-back meetings without any breathing space, can be extremely taxing, there are few days where you get some much-needed respite between the calls. 

So, we decided to curate a playlist for you all to help handle some of the Zoom fatigue we all feel when we are on calls all day long.
